Beef Tenderloin with Mushroom sauce
Ingredients
1 tsp. olive oil
1/8 tsp. salt and pepper
16 oz. lean tenderloin cut into flat pieces
1/2 thick steaks trimmed of fat
8 oz. mushroom sliced
2 tbsp. shallots or onions, chopped
1/3 cup beef broth
2 tbsp. worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp. dijon mustard
Directions
1. In large nonstick skillet, heat 1/2 tsp oil. Add steaks; cook 6 minutes until desired doneness. Remove from skillet, keep warm.
2. In same skillet, heat remaining oil. Add mushrooms and shallots. Cook 2 minutes. Add broth, worcestershire sauce and mustard. Bring to boil. Season to taste.
3. Set steaks on plates and top with sauce.
